My family is blessed with a beautiful and faithful parish community. There are so many of my fellow parishioners sharing their gifts. One of those parishioners is a friend, a true sister in Christ. She’s a beautiful, talented, and highly organized mama of six. A few years back she began to share the root of her organizational success — My Faithful Planner was born.
I opted to switch over to a custom My Faithful Planner from my pieced together and or gifted planners of the past. I was excited to find what I coin to be, a Catholic Erin Condren planner. Think I’m kidding — just take a look at my planner.
This is the front cover of my planner. I created the image from a free print online and added a saying of meaning to my family.
Whither goest thou? is my family’s motto of the year. It was taken from St. John Vianney’s New Year’s Eve sermon. The kids recited it throughout my reading of the sermon and understood the root so clearly – we opted to adopt it as our motto. His question serves as a reminder to us to be diligent in all our actions. May we also be walking closer to Him — Whiter goest thou?
You can read St. John Mary Vianney’s sermon on New Year’s Eve here.
Here are a few more pics of this gem.
The back cover is an excerpt from a prayer of my patron saint of the year, St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross.
Prayers of St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein)
O Prince of Peace, to all who receive You, You bright light and peace. Help me to live in daily contact with You, listening to the words You have spoken and obeying them. O Divine Child, I place my hands in Yours; I shall follow You. Oh, let Your divine life flow into me.
I will go unto the altar of God. It is not myself and my tiny little affairs that matter here, but the great sacrifice of atonement. I surrender myself entirely to Your divine will, O Lord. Make my heart grow greater and wider, out of itself into the Divine Life.
O my God, fill my soul with holy joy, courage and strength to serve You. Enkindle Your love in me and then walk with me along the next stretch of road before me. I do not see very far ahead, but when I have arrived where the horizon now closes down, a new prospect will open before me and I shall met with peace.
How wondrous are the marvels of your love, We are amazed, we stammer and grow dumb, for word and spirit fail us.
The inside covers were created to be switched out as the primary covers at a later time. My Faithful Planner offers several covers and layout options. The possibilities for this planner are endless!
Drop me a note in the comments telling me that you visited My Faithful Planner and I’ll share my downloadable covers/images with you!
May I begin with God and may I end with God!
